Nokbox and The Estate Organizer, side by side

If you are choosing between the two, here is the straight comparison, taken from what each of us publishes. We make one of them, so read it with that in mind and check both sites yourself.

Correct as at 16 October 2026. Prices and inclusions change, so check theirs before you decide.

Nokbox This is usThe Estate Organizer
Who you are buying from Maria Fraietta, who started it after her father died in 2021. Her story is on their Our Story page. Will, who wrote it after watching two families, his and his partner’s, try to settle an estate with nothing written down. That story is on the About page, under his name.
What arrives A physical filing system. The Original is a plastic file box with 15 hanging folders, 67 labeled folders and 72 double-sided checksheets, plus a document bag and a key bag. Their FAQ explains why it is not a digital product. A coil bound book, printed to order and shipped to you. Or the digital edition, a fillable PDF, on its own. Or the two together, so you can start tonight and write it up properly when the book arrives.
Free before you pay No free version is offered on the pages we read. The Executor Toolkit, free. The first stage of the book, the first 48 hours, is in it. There is also a two minute readiness check.

Read the reviews sent directly to us

Their figures come from thenokbox.com: the product pages for each kit, the Our Story and Meet Our Team pages, the FAQ, and the return and shipping policies, read on 30 September 2026 and checked again on 16 October 2026. Ours come from this website.

The part we will not dress up

They show 2,377 reviews on their product page and say more than 500,000 families have a Nokbox. We have nine reviews on ProductReview, three reviews on Trustpilot, and fifteen readers whose words are on our reviews page, sent to us directly.

They also make something we do not. If what you want is a box of labeled folders to hold the actual papers, that is a Nokbox. Ours is a book you fill in, and it records where things like the will are kept.

What we would rather be judged on is the book itself. There is a free Executor Toolkit on this site with the first stage of it, the first 48 hours, written out in full. Read that before you buy anything from either of us.

What about the $27 printable binders?

If Nokbox feels like more than you need, you will also find digital-only emergency binders for around $27 to $30. Two we read on 16 October 2026: The Orderly Life sells a 41 page “What If? Emergency Binder” PDF for $29.99, with a physical binder at $74.99, and Family Ready Binder sells a printable PDF for $27 with no printed option. Both are short, general purpose binders: contacts, insurance, accounts, a few pages on final wishes.

The Estate Organizer is a different size of thing. The digital edition is $49 and runs to more than 300 pages, written in the order an executor meets the job, from the first 48 hours to the first year, with the Social Security, 401(k), IRA and probate steps set out for American families. The printed book is $99, shipped free, with the digital edition included. If a 40 page binder is all your family needs, buy one. If you want the whole job done once, this is the one.

See what is actually in it

The free Executor Toolkit is the first stage of the book. No payment, no card.
